I haven't had much play with this expansion yet, but Here's my initial feedback.
First thing I noticed was a pleasant surprise. When I checked my PI colonies, I was expecting to find my running extractors to be removed even though they would normally still run for some time after the deployment of the patch. But I saw you left them there, and still running. Thumbs up for that! It would be nice if I had the comfort of knowing this in advance though.
I was looking forward to using the beta features too, but I'm patient. If they were too buggy than I guess I'm not too sad about that.
Now, the Character creator. I've been able to sculpt my character to my liking. Not perfect, but 9/10. Of course I'm still looking forward to tattoos and more clothes and (long!) hairstyles, but I can wait. It would be nice to be able to pick things from other races styles though. I can see why you want each race to be distinguishable from eachother, but capsuleers can afford to shop out-of-empire. Just mark items as Gallentean etc. or give each race a seperate menu. That way people can still look Amarr etc. if they want to, but can still wear that awesome looking caldari jacket.
The sculpting would be a bit easier if the character would remain still if you hovered your mouse over it.
I also think that the colourmenu+slider dissappear too quickly. I can imagine someone not noticing it at all.
I think it would be nice if the character's head was not focused on the camera as much when you turn his body sideways in sculpt mode.
And when you take your portrait, I accidently tilted my body so I looked up/down on it but couldn't figure out how for some time. and the help didn't provide useful info. I finally figured it out that you could do it by leftclick dragging to the side of the character.
Some previews of body modification (eye shade, lip colour among them) looked identical to me, and I only figured out the difference when I set the settings to max, uhm, visibility or density or something so I would suggest that the default is set to max.
And in some positions it's really hard to tilt the head ( the "<->" thing, not the "+" one).

Hmmm, based on the feedback (I've had colonies extracting 2-4 different resources in the past, but not ATM) I think It would be better if:
A) The PG/CPU requirements of the ECU would depend on the amount of extractors heads used. or B) You could make a seperate program for each resource (on a single ECU), and assign heads to a program.
